Angus Fuller & Jessie Cuthbert
Matelot is crewed full time by a Skipper, Chef and Mate. They have full responsibility for the yacht whether undergoing refit work in the yard, deliveries across the Atlantic or whilst guests are onboard. Both the Skipper and Chef have worked for the owner for over six years and have been with the yacht since she was purchased. Having been involved in all pre purchase details and the current refit, they are perfectly placed to ensure it meets the high standards to be expected on charter. All the crew onboard Matelot are trained through the STCW Basic Safety Course covering fire fighting, sea survival and first aid.

Angus Fuller (Skipper), born UK 1977, began sailing at the age of two weeks old and now holds RYA/DoT Commercial Yachtmaster (Ocean) certificate.

Matelot is the latest in a variety of yachts he has run having previously skippered several Oysters (including an Oyster 66 for Matelot's owner) and Swans. Having cruised the Caribbean extensively, the E Coast of the States, the Mediterranean between the Balearics and Croatia, the Galapagos, South Pacific and Arctic Norway, Angus can ensure that you sample the very best of local life wherever you choose to charter.

When not onboard Matelot, Angus enjoys sailing on the Norfolk Broads and playing the piano.
Jessie Fuller (Chef), born UK 1978, has also sailed all her life. She was a trialist in the 470s for Sydney Olympics, won the UK Women's Match Racing Nationals, twice Youth World Champion and has been voted the BT/YJA Yachtsman of the Year in 1995.

Jessie trained at the Rosie Davie's School of Cookery and Walnut Grove in France before joining Angus some years ago on yachts. Since then she has also trained at Nick Nairn Cookery School, Ashburton Cookery School, Rick Stein Fish School and the Kru Thai Cookery School in Edinburgh.
She describes her cooking as international whilst using all the best local ingredients available but at the same time cooked to the guests' preferences.

As well as enjoying cooking, Jessie loves wakeboarding and "getting stuck into a good book".

Ollie Weguelin (Mate), born 1987 comes from Wimbledon, London. Ollie has grown up around boats with regular cruising on the family’s yacht in northern Europe and the Med.  A qualified Yachtmaster, he has also cruised Iceland and northern Scotland. More recently in 2010 he was crew on the winning yacht in the Cruising Division of the Maxi Worlds in Sardinia. When not sailing Ollie enjoys to keep fit by playing rugby, tennis, hockey and going on long runs, and is keen on improving his wakeboarding skills!
